The smallest vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (0.5ha)!
A few meters from the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Jean-Louis Aubert produces top quality wines. Our smallest partner winery, and at the same time the smallest winery in this appellation, relies entirely on the Grenache grape variety for its only red wine. Jean-Louis says: "Although 13 grape varieties are permitted here, my heart has always belonged to Grenache!" He is a tinkerer and controls his yields every year in order to always press a top-quality wine.
Despite the high alcohol content, this pure Grenache does not fall into the house with the door. On the one hand because of its low tannin content. Anyway, this wine has more of the varietal fruit aromas of red cherry, pomegranate and raspberry. A bit of liquorice and cloves complete the flavor profile.
A unique wine that, despite its youthfulness, is already very accessible for a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Nevertheless, Jean-Louis' wines always have great storage potential and this wine can certainly gain even more depth.

Clos des Terres Blanches
Jean-Louis Aubert von Clos des Terres Blanches ist ein Überzeugungstäter und hat uns mit seiner Aufopferung und seinem Streben nach höchster Qualität von Anfang an beeindruckt. Auf dem mit 0.5 Hektaren kleinsten Weingut der legendären Appellation AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape entstehen nämlich ausserordentlich gute Weine, besonders der Rotwein hat es uns angetan. In Sichtweite der Ruine der ehemaligen päpstlichen Sommerresidenz gibt es bei Clos des Terres Blanches auch sonst einiges zu entdecken.
Beim Besuch vor Ort haben wir festgestellt, dass Jean-Louis’ Keller zwar tatsächlich kleiner ist als jener des WeinHauses, aber alles vorhanden ist, was Spitzenweine auszeichnet. Zum Beispiel für die Auswahl der Barriques reist der Winzer regelmässig quer durch Frankreich, um die richtigen Exemplare zu finden.
Wir sind extrem stolz, einer der ersten Exportpartner von Jean-Louis zu sein, der nach einer langen Karriere in der Privatwirtschaft sich den Traum eines Weinguts erfüllen konnte.
