The wine line Vini Verso from the winery I Clivi is a heart project. The I Clivi winery, which is located high on the hills on the border with Slovenia, wanted to use this brandy to show that the adjacent "Pianura" (English: area) also has great potential for tasty wines. The labels of each of these wines feature an animal that characterizes the ecosystem of this terroir. They call the "Cius", Friulian for owl, a "happy soul of a wine". So let's be inspired by it together and then this wine will lift the spirits, guaranteed!
The Ribolla Gialla grape is indigenous to the border region and has an eventful history. Almost extinct in the middle of the 20th century, it has been experiencing a great renaissance for some time. And rightly so: The "Cius" as a 100% Ribolla Gialla impresses with a completely new aroma profile.
In terms of taste, notes of white peach, grapefruit, floral aromas and a refreshing minerality stand out.

Der Winzer Mario Zanusso führt dieses Weingut mit zirka 10 Hektaren. Die Frohnatur legt dabei Wert darauf, die Vielfalt des lokalen Terroirs abzubilden (verschiedene Lagen, Rebsorten und Weinstilistiken). Zudem sind im seine "Vecchie Vigne", seine bis zu 70 Jahre alten Rebstöcke, heilig. Vom Weingut aus hat mein einen einzigartigen Überblick über die verspielte Landschaft der Region Friuli Venezia Giulia. Hinter dem angrenzenden Waldstück liegt zudem die historisch eng verbundene slowenische Region Goriska.
Mit der Wein-Linie Vino Verso hat er kürzlich einen neuen Brand erschaffen, welcher seine traditionellen Hügellagen an den "Colli Orientali" mit Weine aus den Flächen des Friauls, ein Terroir mit vielen Meerablagerungen, ergänzt. Des Weiteren ist er an einem Projekt mit einem grenzüberschreiten Cuvée zwischen Slowenien und Italien beteiligt.
Das Weingut I Clivi produziert zertifiziert biologisch und legt grossen Wert auf Rebbau im Einklang mit der Umwelt.
