Bonarda
The red-bubbly summer hit
The Bonarda is typical of the Oltrepò Pavese wine region and is sometimes also called “Rosso Vivace”. This wine is a red wine with carbonic acid - a wine style that has experienced a comeback in recent years and has also become a bestseller in the WeinHaus. In addition, the Bonarda shows that there are other pearls in addition to the most well-known representative of this wine style, the Lambrusco. The carbonation comes from a second fermentation in the bottle, the process of which is recorded in the local designation of origin.
The combination of a very expressive and tannin-rich grape, the Croatina, and the light carbonic acid makes this wine the ideal red wine for hot temperatures. This Croatina impresses with an intense bouquet of red cherries and on the palate the wine is very lively and versatile, between fruit jelly and an earthy touch.

Pietrotorti
Die Familie Torti bewirtschaftet seit 5 Generationen ihre eigenen Weinberge auf rund 10 Hektaren auf den Hügeln von Montecalvo Versiggia in Oltrepò Pavese. Seit einiger Zeit hat das Unternehmen genug von Behandlungen mit synthetischen Produkten im Rebberg und ist dem Label Vinnatur verpflichtet. Die Parzellen von Pietrotorti zeichnet allesamt ein tonig-lehmiger und kaliumreicher Boden aus.
Heute wird Pietrotorti vom Sohn des Gründers, Alessandro Torti, geleitet. Unterstützt wird er dabei vor allem durch seine Tochter Chiara, welche frisch aus der Önologie-Ausbildung kommt und auch für das Design der Etiketten zuständig ist. Wenn man Alessandro und Chiara kennenlernt, spürt man sofort die Leidenschaft zweier Winzer, eines Vaters und einer Tochter, für ihre Arbeit und für die Region Oltrepò Pavese.
Der Leuchtturm von Pietrotorti ist sicherlich der Bonarda dell'Oltrepò Pavese, welcher bei uns ebenfalls angeboten wird.
