A top vintage Lalande de Pomerol
With 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this Lalande-de-Pomerol is very stylish and is still an incredibly successful example. Already awarded various prizes, this wine is still the flagship of Château Haut Goujon. The terroir, a mixture of clay, limestone and pebbles, gives the wine a complexity that gives a glimpse of new aromas in both sips.
The nose of this wine is powerful, dominated by notes of blueberry, roasted coffee beans and tobacco. Add to that the beautifully aged tannins. A perfectly aged wine from the 2005 vintage.

Mikäel Garde, seine Frau Valérie und das gesamte Team vom Château Haut-Goujon strahlen dermassen Lebensfreude aus, dass wir beim Besuch des Weinguts im Sommer 2022 sofort angefixt wurden. Zudem ist das Weingut ein Familienbetrieb, der sogar Grossmütter und Enkel einspannt.
Auf dem 18 Hektar grossen Weingut sowohl Weine hergestellt, die sehr typisch für die Region sind, als auch eine beachtliche Zahl an “Monocépage-Weinen”, also Weine aus einer einzigen Rebsorte, unter anderem einen puren Malbec oder Petit Verdot. Besonders Freude bereitet uns, dass das Château Haut-Goujon regelmässig alte Jahrgänge im Angebot hat.
Kellermeister Mikäel ist stets darum bemüht, der lokalen Konkurrenz einen Schritt voraus zu sein. In den Appellationen AOC Lalande-de-Pomerol und AOC Montagne-Saint-Émilion experimentiert er mit allen zugelassenen Bordeaux-Rotweinsorten (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec & Carmenère), was eher aussergewöhnlich ist und dieses Weingut so einzigartig und spannend macht.
