An expressive proof of the quality of Friulano
In Friulian "Fuart" means strong or vigorous. This certainly corresponds to the character of this wine, for which only the best Friulano grapes may be used with a rigid manual harvest. The cultivation of the autochthonous Friulano grape variety is a matter of course at Subida di Monte, as it is at many wineries in the region. Nevertheless, this wine is anything but the regional average. The grapes for this wine grow on the edge of the forest and benefit from a special "micro-terroir".
This wine goes through various stages of aging: after a short maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks. Then the wine is decanted into the large wooden barrel, the tonneau, for malolactic fermentation and finally it is aged on the yeast for 7 months. The result is truly a taste firework!
The Fuart impresses with a variety-typical acidity, which is beautifully creamy integrated through the malolactic fermentation. In addition, aromas of lemons and bitter almonds stand out. Definitely a white wine with gastronomic standards.

Das 10 Hektare umfassende Weingut Subida di Monte blickt bereits auf eine längere Geschichte zurück, welche von der Familie Antonutti geprägt war. Heute ist nur noch Andrea Antonutti im Betrieb, seitdem eine neue, ambitionierte Crew das Steuer übernommen hat.
Das neue Konzept, welches verfolgt wird, beinhaltet nicht nur die Produktion hervorragender Weine, sondern auch ein "Enoturismo" mit Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten sowie dem hauseigenes Bistrot «Locanda alle Vigne», einer Balsamico-Herstellung sowie einer kleinen Imkerei. Ein wahres Paradies!
Subida di Monte befindet sich im Herzen der Appellation Collio DOC, welche sich stets sehr eigenwillig entwickelt hat und beispielsweise durch andere Flaschenformen auszeichnet und stark durch die slowenischen Nachbarn geprägt ist. Ein Weingut, dass wir zur engen Beobachtung empfehlen!
