The Dada is one of the "Signature Wines" and a bestseller from the WeinHaus. In our portfolio since day 1, we were the first to be allowed to import this indescribably delicious wine into Switzerland. Dada is a childish term for a horse in French. Dada in French means to be passionate about a hobby or vocation. And last but not least, the reference to Dadaism suggests that the team behind the Château de Rouillac are artists at work.

The horse also adorns the label of Dada. The owner of the Château de Rouillac, Laurent Cisneros, indulges not only in viticulture but also in show jumping and takes part in national and international competitions together with his daughter Melanie.

The Dada: A white wine that impresses with its freshness and shows once again that white wines from Pessac-Léognan can play in the top league in terms of taste. The cuvée of 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Gris has beautiful, complex aromas of lemon, apricot and ginger, paired with a nice minerality and a little "bakery aroma" from the aging.

Das Château de Rouillac ist ein altes und edles Weingut und befindet sich in der Appellation Pessac-Léognan direkt am Eingang der Stadt Bordeaux. Das eigentliche Anwesen war einst im Besitz von Baron Haussmann, dem Architekt des modernen Paris. Seit April 2010 ist es im Besitz von Laurent und Sophie Cisneros.

Laurent spielte einst an der Seite von Zinédine Zidane in Cannes in der zweiten Liga Fussball und ist heute auch noch, gemeinsam mit seiner Tochter Melanie, als professioneller Springreiter aktiv. Darum ist dieses Château gleichzeitig auch eine Pferdefarm und Pferde spielen für die Familie eine grosse Rolle. Einige Pferde werden sogar im Rebberg eingesetzt.

Das Weingut umfasst 36 Hektare, von denen 26 Hektare mit Reben bepflanzt sind. Das Terroir ist geprägt durch “Graves” (dt. “grosse Kieselsteine”), denen auch die Nachbarappellation AOC Graves ihren Namen verdankt. Aktuell läuft die Umstellung auf biologischen Weinbau. Unter sympathische Kontaktperson Chloé Chadeau, welche den Export leitet, ist mittlerweile schon fast ein Teil der Familie Cisneros geworden.
