The village of La Croix-Valmer is located on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. Gigaro Beach, tucked away in a small cove nearby, gives its name to this seductive and always uplifting rosé. Driving through the vineyards of Domaine La Madrague, you will also discover the beautiful palm trees that adorn this stylish rosé bottle.
This rosé cuvée made from 60% Grenache, 35% Cinsault & 5% Syrah is a classic representative of the Provence style, in which the typical light color stands out (caused by direct pressing of the grapes). At the Gigaro, the wine even seems to sparkle when you enjoy it on a beautiful sunny day.
With every sip of Gigaro Rosé you seem to feel a rush of air from the Mediterranean. In addition, this wine convinces with aromas of raspberry, peach and rose, complemented by a fresh but not too dominant acidity.

Auf der Hinterseite des Hügels auf der Halbinsel von Saint-Tropez liegt das Dörfchen La Croix-Valmer. Verlässt man die Hauptstrasse und macht sich auf den Weg zum versteckten Strand Gigaro, fährt man entlang einer Palmenallee zur Domaine La Madrague. Ein Ort, wie man die Provence und die Côte d’Azur in einem Bilderbuch zeichnen würde. Auf den 20 Hektaren Rebfläche in La Croix-Valmer und Gassin werden diverse Weine abgefüllt, wobei die Rosés die Flaggschiffe dieses Weinguts sind.
La Madrague ist für den biologischen Weinbau zertifiziert und steht für einen Generation von Provence-Rosés, die nicht nach Masse, sondern nach Klasse streben. Die sandigen Böden, welche bis fast direkt ans Mittelmeer reichen, geben den Weinen von La Madrague eine tolle Frische und absorbieren auch in Unwetterperioden genug Wärme für die Reben. Das Weingut stellt auch seinen eigenen Honig im nahen gelegenen Grimaud her.
