The abbreviation KRÜ is a reference to the "Krütergarten", which is how the 8247 team describes a special plot of their vineyards. When they took over the winery, they found a unique variety of different grape varieties there and decided to dedicate a wine to this place. In addition, KRÜ can also be read as a different spelling for the French word "Cru", the expression for particularly high-quality wines from a winery.
This wine is a blend of the Kerner, Johanniter, Müller-Thurgau grape varieties and the fungus-resistant Solaris variety. This variety of varieties has stimulated tinkering. Some of the grapes were pressed directly, some were left on the mash for several days, some were aged in amphorae, some in barriques and most of them in steel tanks.
The result is a wine that presents us with a variety of floral and fruity aromas. On the palate it shows a wonderful freshness and alternately lets the different grape varieties come to the fore.

«Wine by JET» ist eine Anspielung auf die Initialen von Winzer und Eigentümer Jonas Ettlin (= JET). Auf Jonas' Webseite steht ganz unbescheiden «JET ist das junge Spitzenweingut am Zürichsee und steht für grosse Terroir-Weine mit klarer Handschrift.» Zusammen mit seinem Winzerkollegen Brian Serr keltert er seit wenigen Jahren seine eigenen Weine, in direkter Nachbarschaft des berühmten Erich Meier; uns hat er von Tag 1 überzeugt!
Die Weine von JET entstehen in den Weinbergen. Mit der Natur als Partner bilden individuelle Stockpflege, rigorose Ertragsreduktion und streng-biologische Bewirtschaftung die Voraussetzung für unsere kompromisslosen Terroir-Weine.
Besonders wird ein Schwerpunkt gelegt auf die einheimische Rebsorte Räuschling, welche einerseits eine unglaubliche Frische an den Tag legen kann, aber auch mit Ausbau in hohe Qualitätssphären aufsteigen kann.
